Accomplished or Successful?

To be successful, you have to focus and especialise on one subject, on a reduced, narrow scope of a profession or career. This way you’ll know everything about your subject, you’ll be ahead of the crowd and taking advantage of your almost ‘inside’ knowledge and this will probably get you a lot of fame or fortune, or both.

I have felt accomplished many times in my life, but I haven’t seen my accomplishments necessarily related to my success, being this high income, social recognition or personal reward. My feelings of wellbeing and fulfilment walked different ways from the opportunities to make money; actually, when I made money, it was in a rather different area from which I was feeling rewarded or accomplished, or looking forward to excel.
